Tell Us About Your Family! Celebrating Rainbow Families Website Project
As part of the launch, and in celebration of Family Day in February, we are asking you to submit something that tells us about your family. Whatever family means to you, we want to hear from you! Submissions can be in the form of a video, family portrait, drawing, poem, or story! Get your kids, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, partners, spouses, and friends involved! During the week of Family Day (February 16th, 2009), we will post contributions on the website in the community corner in celebration of the diversity of families we have in Ottawa. Around the Rainbow is a community-based project in Canada's National Capital Region that works with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, two spirit, queer/questionning (LGBTTQ) community and allies to support diverse families in childcare, preschools, schools, educational settings and the greater community.
We've made some big improvements to our website and have introduced a number of new features including our updated Resource Centre, complete with an ever-expanding delicious list of online tools, information and resources for LGBTTQ families, allies and educators.
